Only days until the long journey begins

Both Ryan and I are already started to dread what will come on Thursday...3 hour drive to Minneapolis, 14 hour plane ride to Tokyo, 2 hour layover, 4 hour flight to Manilla, 3 hour bus ride to the shore, 1 hour boat ride to the island we are staying on for two weeks.  Jet lag, here we come!

We have lists of things to still get done before we leave our house tomorrow.  We have piles of snacks and clothes and scuba gear everywhere in our house.  I was working on gathering the things the pets will need at my dad's house while we're gone...I think Mr. Wiggles, our cat, and Bella, our dog, have as big of a pile for two weeks as Ryan and I do!

I just talked to Ryan and our new camera case for underwater is still sitting at the company.  We tested out the empty case over Memorial Day weekend and it leaked badly!  So we sent it in and asked if it could get overhauled and shipped back to us before our trip.  They said it would be close, but they could do it.  Well, Ryan got a call last Thursday, I believe, that they had the camera case all finished.  We were expecting to get it in the mail yesterday, but it never came.  When Ryan called today, they told him that they had forgot about it and the camera case was still sitting there...they still hadn't done the final tests on it or shipped it yet!  GREAT!  So I think we're going to have to pay extra money to get it shipped overnight and delivered tomorrow morning all because they forgot to complete the job.  Things are not off to a good start!!!

I should get back to organizing and crossing things off the lists before Ryan gets home from the office in Appleton today!  More to come once we leave.
